So today I started working with Octoprint -- it's a control system for 3D printers. While there are builds for desktop systems, I am using a Raspberry Pi 3B+ as the base platform. This is the typical setup for most.
It also works with a Webcam -- that will be the next step in this adventure. I want to be able to look at the printer when I am out of the room. Currently, I am printing the headgear for the face shields non-stop, so I really don't want to experiment too much.
So far Octoprint has worked as described. No surprises - well one, but I should have thought about that ... I connected to my printer while it was about 45 minutes into printing the headgear. It caused the printer to stop and prompted my to resume the print. Resume it didn't -- bummer.
